This world class Costa Maya Fishing Resort is set among coconut palms along a serene and secluded stretch of the Caribbean Sea just north of the sleepy fishing village of Xcalak on the southern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula – the last area left unspoiled on the Caribbean Coast. This charming full service resort is the ultimate destination to scuba dive, fish, kayak, explore, or just relax in the Caribbean to the sound of surf breaking on the reef offshore.

The Xcalak Reef National Marine Park, with all the exotic wonders of the Caribbean Sea serves as the resort’s front yard with some of the best fishing and scuba diving in the world and the Yucatan Jungle, rich with wildlife, is the backyard. There is exceptional snorkeling just a short swim off our Costa Maya Fishing Resort dock, amid incredible coral heads with over 48 species of hard & soft corals, sponges, and even the exotic black coral or local guides can take you on snorkeling-boat excursions to other areas of the Reef.

The resort itself has a rich Mayan cultural charm. The sixteen private cabanas have traditional exterior stonework, exotic tropical woods, native thatch palapa roofs, ceiling fans, and louvered windows all around that capture the cooling Caribbean breeze. Each cabana has its own private bathroom and shower.

The resort resides on a 103 meter wide by 110 meter deep lot that includes:

• 16 Cabanas and a Guest Cottage
• Restaurant and Bar
• Workshop (3,000 sq. ft.)
• Worker housing (can sleep up to fifteen in three separate areas)
• Bodegas (storage buildings)
• Eight boats: one twenty five foot and seven twenty three foot converted for fly fishing.

The resort is powered by two wind generators that a 3 KW  that continually charge the huge bay of solar batteries and a 10 KW that powers the resort. There are 15,000 kilowatts of solar panels that also provide power during the day. In addition there is a propane Generac 20 KW new generator and two back-up diesel generators. With all of this one is guaranteed a steady source of electricity!

There are two adjacent lots that can also be purchased to enable resort expansion, however they are not included in the price.
