Buying in Mexico Made easy with NuVista Real Estate Two years ago I retired from a 40 year career in Denver, Colorado, and decided to pursue my dream of owning a contempory-styled beach home in the Caribbean. During my search, I discovered John Fleming and NuVista Real Estate in Mahahual, a beautiful diving/fishing town near the Southern Yucatan peninsula. It was a stroke of good fortune for me. Buying a property and building a home is always a challenge, but doing it in a foreign country with very limited language skills would have been daunting! Once I met John and the NuVista team, my fears were put to rest. John showed me a number of suitable properties and was able to explain the advantages and disadvantages of building a new home over purchasing an existing home. He took me through all of the local and national regulations, and introducing me to legal and financial professionals as well as architect/builders. When I told family members that I had decided to build, they strongly discouraged me. Last June I moved into my beautiful beachfront 4,000 sq. ft. home and couldn’t be happier! The purchase price and construction were within my budget, and I couldn’t have done this without John and his team of professionals. I can wholeheartedly recommend NuVista Real Estate and John Fleming to anyone considering a beach property in the southern Yucatan.
