The area of Tampalam is located INSIDE the boundaries for the world renowned Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve in the southern part of the Mexico Caribbean. Sian Ka’an Reserve protects a collection of Mexico’s most beautiful sandy beaches, fresh water lagoons, and wild spaces with approximately only one percent of its land mass available for private ownership. Sian Ka’an, a sublime area of natural beauty in Costa Maya, is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna. The Sian Kaan is a biosphere reserve that was established in 1986 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

The stunning area known as the Costa Maya is located on the lower third of the Yucatan peninsula on the sparkling blue Caribbean Sea. Known for its pristine white sandy beaches, Costa Maya is a tropical paradise with fauna and flora including abundant coconut palm trees. This is one of the most private reef protected beaches in Costa Maya Mexico.

The long-term regional development plans include building Pulticub with its airstrip into a substantial town and Seaport to facilitate the surrounding area. Currently, restaurants, entertainment, supplies and facilities are in Mahahual, approximately 60 kilometers away via the paved 2 lane road… a very easy trip.
